Ashley first discovered pole fitness at Dazzling Diva in the fall of 2018. Immediately, she fell in love with the pole sport and supportive community. One of her favorite things about pole is learning new tricks that showcase strength and beauty. Although she began teaching in February of 2020, she still considers herself a student and enjoys being challenged and learning new pole moves. She hopes that her students not only get a good work out during her classes, but that they also learn something new before they leave. Ashley’s pole heroes include Gemma Lux, Victoria Haletskaya, and all of the instructors that taught her at DDF.
LISA
As a former ballet dancer and touring metal vocalist, Lisa was drawn to the mix of grace and power she saw in pole fitness. She has always loved a good challenge, and pole definitely looked to be one! After the birth of her second daughter in 2020, Lisa decided to finally give pole fitness a try. She fell in love with pole during her very first class at Dazzling Diva Fitness. Pole is a wonderfully empowering experience, complete with the satisfaction of accomplishing new pole tricks/spins and gaining strength every class. Lisa is so excited to be an instructor with DDF! She was immediately addicted to this new workout and couldn’t believe how much progress she and her fellow students made with the guidance of many amazing instructors. Milissa loved the supportive, non-competitive environment and the friendships that developed as a result of sharing this journey. In October 2019 Milissa embarked on another leg of her journey when she became the new “Queen Diva” at DDF! She is honored to continue this incredible studio and true community, now reborn as Fly Fitness, and is excited to see what the future holds as she and the phenomenal team guide the Fly family to empowerment through pole and aerial fitness! “NOW is the time to join us! Your only regret will be that you didn’t do it sooner!”
AMANDA
Amanda’s life long passion for dance began when she was 3 years old. She grew up training and student teaching at competition studio in Northern Virginia. She has trained in most styles of dance and performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, at The Lincoln Center, and at The Kennedy Center. In college she continued her studies and minored in dance. During that time she also worked in various gyms as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor until she opened her own dance studio. Motherhood brought lots of changes and a pause on her dance and fitness career. She found Pole and Lyra in 2021 after her second son was born and instantly fell in love with both! She continued training until 36 weeks pregnant with twins and then returned at 4 months postpartum after healing an 8 finger diastis recti. She loves that pole and Lyra keep her both physically healthy and mentally healthy. Pole and Lyra have made her physically stronger, more confident, and helped her find true self love. As an instructor she loves cheering on her students every attempt and seeing their progress and excitement when they learn a new skill. As a forever student, she loves that there are always new tricks or shapes to learn, endless combos to try, and different styles to spark creativity. She loves continuing her own training so that she can continue to grow as an instructor for her students! When she’s not at the studio, Amanda enjoys homeschooling her 4 kids and working as a private lactation consultant. Her favorite place to be (other than the studio of course) is the beach, even in winter!
EVELYN
Evelyn started dancing in Northern Virginia at the age of 3 and instantly fell in love. As she grew older she expanded her knowledge and love for dance by joining her studio’s competition team. She was chosen from her studio to tap in the Boscov’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia and performed with the Manassas Ballet Company in her later teens. After graduating from high school Evelyn went to Virginia Intermont College where she graduated with her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts majoring in Dance in 2007. After graduation she began teaching dance to children as young as 18 months all the way to grandmas and grandpas throughout Virginia. In 2014 Evelyn spotted a photo of her friend on the pole and thought ‘I maybe.. might.. be able to do that’ and took her first class. That first class made her feel empowered! It didn’t take long for her to combine her years of dance training and newfound style and start competing once again. Shortly after she taught her first beginner pole class. Evelyn is thrilled to be a part of the DDF family and share her joy for dance with her students. She hopes each student leaves class feeling as empowered as she does.
